Product descriptions are super important when selling online. Product descriptions that inspire and convey product details, without boring the reader, are paramount to great sales numbers.
When you sell at an in-person craft fair, shoppers are able to pick up, touch, and feel the items that you are selling. Online, customers must rely on your product descriptions to convey important information as: size, weight, feel (soft/hard/luxurious), etc.
At Craft Fair USA, each product has two product description fields.
- Short Description: Aim for 150-200 words; this should include your most important product information. This field will be shown between the product images and the “Add to Cart” button. If this is done well, the customer will be encourage to add the item to their cart.
- Description: This text field can be as long as you would like. Customers will have to scroll down the product page to view this section.
